Mac Dir Stat — Privacy Policy
This policy is short because the app does very little that concerns privacy: it reads the folder you hand it, measures what is there, and shows you the result. Nothing leaves your Mac.
1.The app has no network access
Mac Dir Stat makes no outbound connections of any kind. It is sandboxed without the network entitlement, so it could not send anything anywhere even if it tried. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, and nothing is transmitted to Graf Clouds or to anyone else.
2.No analytics, no tracking, no third-party code
There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party software development kit. The app has no dependencies beyond Apple's own frameworks. It does not track you across apps or websites and builds no profile of you.
3.What it reads, and what it keeps
When you grant access to a disk or folder, the app reads the names, sizes and dates of the files inside it. It does not open or read the contents of your files.
A finished scan — the folder names, sizes and dates — is written to the app's own cache folder on your Mac so the same disk opens instantly next time. That file never leaves the machine, and deleting the cached scans in Settings removes it.
The permission you grant is stored as a macOS security-scoped bookmark, which is the system's own mechanism for remembering that you allowed an app to read a folder. Removing the app removes it.
4.What it writes
Two things, both at your explicit request. Cleanup moves items you have selected to the Trash after confirming their size and count — nothing is ever deleted permanently, and nothing is selected for you. Benchmark writes one temporary file to measure disk speed and deletes it when the measurement finishes, including if you cancel it.
5.Children
Mac Dir Stat is a utility with no accounts and no content. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
